Social Media Week round-up from Exmouth House Social

This week saw lots of traffic through Exmouth House Social – with almost 200 people attending the various events and workshops happening throughout the week at Tempero, Mint Digital and SpecialMoves. 150 people alone attended Tempero’s seven social media management workshops and final keynote session.

Our CEO, Dom Sparkes hosted a morning and afternoon event each day (he’s now resting with a view to getting his voice back!), rotating the following workshops, ‘Integrating Moderation, Insight and Engagement’, ‘Creating a Social Media Management Plan’ and ‘Brand Protection on Social Networks’. Attendees came from far and wide, from an array of industries, with very different perspectives on social media; something which made for intesting debate and discussion throughout.

, Community and Social Media Manager at Channel 4, co-hosted our Monday session, ‘Creating a Social Media Management Plan’  to a packed room, and provided some great tips about time management and measurement in the planning stages of social media strategies. Our two ‘Brand Protection on Social Networks’ workshops were co-hosted by Timothy Pinto, who provided some excellent insight into legal issues concerning social media.

Our week ended on a high with a full house for our Thursday afternoon keynote session, ‘How to Cultivate Your Brand’s Super-Users’. Sony’s European Consumer Marketing Manager, shared some invaluable tips on how Sony manages their group of super-users; keeping them happy, motivated, inspired, and ultimately ensuring they provide a great service for the other forum users.

We also had the pleasure of hosting Michelle and Makayla from CREATE Jobs this week, who attended each of our workshops and keynote session, as well as providing some much needed help throughout. We hope they enjoyed their work experience and go on to pursue successful careers in the creative industry.

We’ve published slides from all of our three workshops; Integrating Insight, Engagement & Moderation, Brand Protection on Social Networks & Creating a Social Media Management Plan, plus Nico’s Super User presentation. We’ll be updating these shortly with our handy Content Plan Templates that some of you may have seen if you attended our workshops.

And finally, on that note, if you attended (and enjoyed!) an event at Exmouth House Social during Social Media Week London, you have the chance to vote for us in the Social Media Week Awards 2012. Go on, don’t be shy.
