Hello. This is something new…
We love what we do and we love it even more when we can do it without commercial pressure, deadlines, briefs or targets. It gives us a chance to practise what we preach in ways that help inform our ongoing client work.
With that in mind please let us introduce Tempero Pollinate. Our very own little lab of social goodness.
We’ve created Pollinate as a place to nurture ideas. We want to help those with little cash. We want to work on projects we feel passionate about on a personal level and we want to give assistance to our own team and their non-Tempero interests – be that music, film, education, charity and so on. As long as there’s a social element, we’ll try and help.
Here’s what we’ve got on the go at the moment…
Social Media Reviews
Tempero’s team have a hugely varied range of interests and sometimes you just want to work on something you really love. Part of our effort to facilitate this is our Social Media Review service. In the main it’s aimed at those with little cash, good causes and fascinating solutions, but almost anything is game.
We have a chat, look at what you’re doing/want to do in social media and then prepare a presentation with our thoughts. All totally gratis. The Southbank Centre, Norwood and the IWF are three happy participants so far.
Twickets
is a joint venture with Vexed Digital. The premise is simple; folks often have spare tickets for events such as gigs and football matches. Selling to touts is a dirty business and online ticket resellers are arguably even worse. Twickets simply retweets messages from those wishing to sell or give away their spare tickets to the Twickets followers. The cardinal rule is we never retweet any tickets that are going for more than face value.
Norwood
Norwood is a leading UK Jewish charity, supporting vulnerable children, families and people with learning disabilities. We were introduced to them last year when we sponsored one of their events, and a few months later they got in touch asking for some advice. We gathered a panel of Account and Community Managers here at Tempero and reviewed all of Norwood’s social channels, then invited them in for a session to pick their brains further. Finally we followed up with a detailed document outlining all of our thoughts, recommendations and best practices for an organisation such as theirs to get the most out of their social activity.
“As a charity, we don’t have the resources or capacity to be able to invest in consultancy work so this pro bono audit was hugely appreciated. We came away with a great deal of practical advice, a lot of which was put into practice immediately. The Tempero team had clearly put a lot of time and effort into the audit, and the session will greatly help Norwood to reach and cultivate our online audience and community. Thank you so much Tempero for facilitating this, the positive effects of the day will be felt far and wide throughout Norwood beyond the parameters of our social media delivery.”

ExHoSo
Love thy neighbour, especially those in your office building. Our lovely worky home in Exmouth House, Farringdon, has a host of top-class tenants such as Outside Line, Mint Digital, Special Moves and many more. ExHoSo was born out of Social Media Week Feb 2012 and started as a week of events organised by the various agencies. The initiative is now growing to become a community of like-minded individuals that pool resources, share experience and generally help each other out. We’re all getting the benefits of an agency network without becoming an agency network. Perfect!
IGGY.net
There used to be a time when we’d say ‘does the world need another social network?’, but times are changing and targeted spaces for those with a shared interest are needed more than ever as the larger networks become monolithic marketing machines.
So, with that in mind we are incredibly pleased to be working with IGGY.net, a social network designed to help gifted young people realise their full potential.
Created by the University of Warwick, IGGY started as NAGTY, a government funded initiative to create resources for able students. When funding ran out, the University stepped up and continued to invest in the brightest minds across the world.
Thankfully NAGTY evolved into the rather nicer sounding IGGY and now we’re helping with the moderation to ensure a lovely safe environment for its members.
Go IGGY Go!!
