Why you should complete your Twitter bio to grow followers
One of the best ways to gain followers on Twitter (aside from being a celebrity) is drawing attention to yourself by either @-ing or Following someone.
What happens the minute someone gets a ‘So & so is now following you’ email or spots an @ from a stranger? They click on your profile/read the profile info in the email alert to check you out.
I delete probably 100s of emails every month alerting me to new followers because their profile is blank. It’s a split second decision. If someone is going to follow you they need help. No info = No Follow.
What to include in your Twitter bio
Again, there are lots of different answers to this but before you get too caught up in writing something witty/eye-catching/punchy/different and all the other advice I see, simply remember to include the right keywords.
That doesn’t necessarily mean SEO keywords – although if you have an SEO strategy this will definitely help - but more importantly what words will people type in to Twitter when they’re trying to find interesting, relevant people to follow?
