London Digital Week

Thldw logo white 300x300 London Digital Weekere’s only a week left until London Digital Week kicks off. The inaugral event aims to become an annual roundup of  “conferences, workshops, meet-ups, presentations, networking, parties and exhibitions bringing together the digital-orientated industries in and around London under one umbrella…”

My event addiction will be tested as I guess I have to just pick a few sessions rather than switch on my Out of Office for the entire week. Here’s my shortlist so far.

2Screen:

With the amusing tagline ‘Can TV and the Web make a baby?” this evening has been set up by Mint Digital.  I think the TV industry – product, broadcast, and viewing – is one of the most exciting emerging areas for social technologies right now so really looking forward to the  line up and hearing conversations beyond  red-button services.

SheSays:

It’s hard to mention that I personally find it important to meet and support women in the digital industry without fear I’ll kick off the usual sniping that goes on when you talk about women & tech. However, this event looks like a good vibe and I spotted Kat Fraser is speaking – I’m  keen to hear about her new venture The Talent Business.

Fast Track Digital Marketing Training:

I am an unabashed uber-fan of Econsultancy and always wanted to check out their training sessions. Hopefully by now I have a few ideas of my own on putting together “dream online strategy”  but it’s always great to hear other ideas and approaches. Thankfully they’ve sold out as I don’t think I could drop that kind of money just to be nosey.

Giving Something Back:

Trend agencies and briefings may sound like a load of  fluff to some but I love them and have never been disappointed when hearing Contagious speak. I don’t quite understand what they plan to talk about but I know it will be good.
